“The Other Queen” – Philippa Gregory
A unique view about one of history’s heroines – Mary, Queen of Scots.  A Queen three times over…born Queen of Scotland (daughter to James V), married to the Dauphin of France crowned Queen of France, and heir to the throne of England (great-grandniece of Henry the 8th).  Overthrown by her own Scottish lords, Mary flees to England in hope of help from her cousin Queen Elizabeth.  But, her pleas seem to fall on deaf ears.  A new look into England’s Elizabethan “Golden Age” that shows some of the darker sides of the Protestant Reformation and the policies it inspired.
